Clubhouse Activities

Exciting First Month of Operation

June 1, 2005

by Betty Bacalu, Executive Director

Our first month has been full of joy and enthusiasm! Settling in to our new home and schedule had its interesting moments. Our answering machine was answering as a fax line. We blew fuses in the kitchen. And, we had a mysterious leak in our office ceiling. But, all is well. We were happy to see new people coming and joining the clubhouse, as well as many old friends and members stopping in. We begin the day with a daily devotional, and discuss current events. Other activities have been visiting with friends who have dropped in for coffee and lunch, as well as setting up the computer, playing air hockey, walking in the yard and gardening.

We have support groups, and a planning committee actively meeting, and a new Bible Study beginning. We look forward to adding more activities as we go. This month has been full of such exciting and fulfilling days! I go home overflowing with wonder and thankfulness, eagerly awaiting the next day. Seeing this awesome endeavor unfold with me daily is Chuck Wagner and Dawna Tenney, faithful volunteers who are helping with the daily operation of the clubhouse! We are thrilled to be at the clubhouse to serve the TBI community in this way!

We welcome all to come visit our miracles in action!
